EVGO STARTS BUILDING TESLA SUPERCHARGERS UNDER LICENSE

EVGo announced that it will begin building Tesla’s V4 Superchargers under a licensing agreement, with the new stations set to appear in Tesla’s navigation app and equipped with both NACS and CCS1 plugs.

According to Ars Technica, the V4 chargers will offer the faster charging speeds that Tesla has been developing, and the dual‑plug design will allow non‑Tesla vehicles using the CCS1 standard to access them. EVGo said the first stations will be listed in the Tesla navigation system, giving Tesla drivers the option to locate and route to EVGo‑operated V4 chargers. The move marks the first time an independent network will install a Tesla‑brand charging station under license.
